Scott Guidry, Principal, RA

A native of New Orleans, Scott spent his childhood in rural Louisiana. There, in the simplicity of small-town life, he learned about true community — a space where people matter, where needs are met, and where the good of the many outweighs that of the few. Scott’s appreciation for community carries over into Scott’s approach to design and architecture. Scott is a registered architect with a passion for design that makes a difference. As designshop’s founder and co-principal, Scott influences each client’s design with his people-first perspective. He believes the best spaces are created for seamless human interaction and that buildings exist to bring people together.

Throughout his career, Scott has been involved in projects ranging from multi-million-dollar commercial complexes to residential renovations. He has a passion for urban redevelopment in downtown Memphis and beyond. A proud Memphian, Scott lives with his wife, Tanya, and daughter, Sara, in East Memphis. Scott enjoys creating custom furniture pieces and he is a fanatic about automobile design.
