designshop is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Intern Architect to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for architecture and design, as well as a commitment to excellence in all aspects of their work. 

As an Intern Architect, you will have the opportunity to work on exciting projects and learn from experienced professionals while contributing to the self growth and the success of the firm.

Key responsibilities:

• Assist in the preparation of architectural drawings and designs for a variety of project types

• Conduct field measurements and assessments of existing building conditions

• Contribute to project meetings, presentations, and coordination with consultants and contractors

• Prepare construction documents and specifications alongside experienced architects

• Participate in code research and analysis to ensure compliance with building codes and regulations

• Collaborate with project teams to develop functional and creative design solutions

• Prepare presentations and graphics to effectively communicate design concepts and solutions to clients and stakeholders

Requirements:

• Recently completed a degree in architecture with a minimum of two years of practical experience

• Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and other relevant design software

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Ability to work well in a team environment

• A strong portfolio demonstrating design skills and creative problem-solving abilities
